Top 10 Youngest Players In The World Cup To Score

#10. Martin Hoffmann: Age 19

Martin Hoffmann spent eight years playing for the East Germany National Team, taking part in the only FIFA World Cup the country ever played in. It was the 1974 tournament hosted by neighbours West Germany and Hoffmann scored one of his country’s five goals, in the 1-1 draw with Chile in the first group stage. In all, Hoffmann made 62 appearances for East Germany and was the country’s joint-sixth highest goalscorer. Domestically, Hoffmann was undoubtedly a one-club man. He joined FC Magdeburg as a youngster and spent his entire professional career at the club, scoring 78 goals. He later went on to manage the first team and was coaching the under-19s up until 2013.
