#4. Christopher Samba
The Congo international made himself quite famous in the English Premier League during his time with Blackburn Rovers. He may not be considered the greatest defender the Roses ever had but it is quite clear that when he was at the heart of defense, Blackburn rarely conceded from set plays. So much was his physical prowess that Samba even made several appearances as a striker by the then manager Sam Allardyce who was short of attacking options at that time. The defender is now playing in Greece with Panathinaikos where he’s holding his own pretty easily.
