#1. Faryd Mondragon: Age 43

He was three days past his 43rd birthday when Faryd Mondragon came on for Colombia in a match against Japan in 2014. Mondragon made 51 appearances for the Colombian National Team in an international career spanning over 20 years. Domestically, Mondragon had a strange career, seemingly playing in every country in earth. The Colombian played in Colombia, Paraguay, Argentina, France, Germany, Spain, Turkey, and the United States of America for a brief spell. Mondragon came on as a substitute in that Group C match against Japan in 2014. It was an emotional moment for Mondragon who struggled to compose himself in a post-match interview. The goalkeeper retired from international football following Colombia’s exit from the tournament.
