#8. Anfield: 1884
Although initially the home of Everton F.C., Anfield has been the home of Liverpool Football Club since its formation in 1892 and is undoubtedly one of the most beloved football stadiums on the planet. Everton played in the stadium for eight years before Liverpool, even winning the Football League in 1891 at the ground before a dispute led to the move to Goodison Park. Liverpool F.C. was formed simply because they had an empty stadium which needed to be filled. Anfield is now one of the most recognisable grounds in the sport and few sights in football come close to the Kop singing before a match.
