The Manchester United 1998-1999 squad featured the likes of Peter Schmeichel, Jaap Stam, Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole. The squad created history when they finished the season with a treble of trophies including the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League. In doing so, the team cemented its place in the history of English football by being the first English team to achieve the treble. The great United squad only faced 5 defeats in the campaign and had a run of 33 games unbeaten in all competitions. Their manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, even managed to get knighted because of the team’s achievement.
