#4.Cape Town Stadium, Cape Town – £424 million
Another stadium for 2010 World Cup in South Africa is the Cape Town Stadium in, well, Cape Town. The project was completed in December 2009 and cost £424 million. The stadium is built on top of the old Green Point Stadium which was partially destroyed in 2007 to make way for the new ground. The Stadium played hose to eight matches in the 2010 World Cup including a quarter final and that famous semi final between Uruguay and the Netherlands. The stadium has also played host to a number of musicians including Rihanna, Coldplay, and Foo Fighters.
