#2. Matt Le Tissier
He was one of the most technically skilled players England has ever produced but Matt Le Tissier didn’t really reach the heights in the football world he should have. He joined Southampton at a young age and eventually broke into the Saints first team. Le Tiss was a scorer of incredible goals and often competed against himself for the Goal of the Season awards. The Englishman reportedly turned down moves to both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea during his career and instead spent 16 seasons with Southampton. His impact for the England National Team was also limited, the attacking midfielder made just eight appearances for his country.
