#5. Craig Whyte (Rangers)
When it comes to domestic competition, Rangers are one of the most successful clubs in the world of football. However, while their history suggests otherwise, the club was relegated to the 3rd tier of Scottish football in 2012. Although they had finished 2nd that season, Rangers were made to pay for the policies adopted by their owner, Craig Whyte.
Back in the day, Craig Whyte bought Rangers for only 1 Pound, thanks to some financial intricacies. However, despite buying the club at a dirt cheap price, Whyte vowed to restore the financial glory. But, as evident by their relegation in 2012 – thanks to financial straits, Whyte was unable to turn the tide for Rangers.
