#3. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan – Manchester City/New York City – £20 billion
In recent years there have been few stories in football as exciting as the takeover of Manchester City. A relatively lower mid-table club was taken over seemingly overnight by a Qatari Sheikh and began spending big immediately. Robinho was the first of Sheikh Mansour’s big money signings and many more have followed the Brazilian. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and a member of the ruling royal family of the country. City have come a long way since his takeover and will look to go even further when Pep Guardiola becomes manager for next season.
