10. Robert Green (Rob Green)
England never really had luck on its side whenever it went on to play in the World Cup. But in 2010 World Cup, England were having a flying start after Steven Gerrard scored the opening goal just 4 minutes into the match. All of this effort went down south when Robert Green was caught in a moment of shame. What should have been a routine save by almost any goalkeeper in the world (we bet even you could have saved that goal, even if you’re hearing about football for the first time), turned out to be a disastrous goalkeeping error by Green. The England goalkeeper was the topic of discussion in almost all pubs and bars across England following the incident, and maybe Green thought it was best for him to never play in international level again.
