#1. Stade Velodrome
The best stadium being used this summer is by far the Stade Velodrome. The home of Marseille is the second largest and has a capacity of 67,000. It was opened way back in 1937 but has gone through major renovation down the years, most notably for these championships. The most striking thing about the Velodrome is its roof which is almost an optical illusion. The sprawling design towers over the pitch and the French team will hope to use this to impose on their opposition. France plays Albania in the Stade Velodrome on 15 June. That match is one of six which the ground will host along with a semi final, a quarter final, and the Group B clash between England and Russia.
