#10 Edwin Van Der Saar
Since Peter Schmeichel retired, Manchester United were desperate for a good goalkeeper. He took him from Fullham where he was in the middle of a four year contract and outstanding form. He quickly established himself as the number one shot stopper and collected numerous pieces of silverware through his tremendous performances and clean sheets. PREVIEW FOR #9: This Norwegian forward was a complete unknown when Alex signed him way back in 1996. He immediately began to make his presence felt and developed a certain knack for coming on a substitute late in fixtures and scoring goals. His most memorable moment will always be scoring the winning goal in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich in 1999.
