#8. Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Arsenal
The first of many Arsenal transfer regrets you’ll find on this list. This one goes all the way back to 2000 when the 16 year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic had just finished his first full season at Malmo where he scored 12 goals in 26 matches for the Sweden team. Arsene Wenger brought Ibrahimovic down to the club, handed him an Arsenal shirt with his name on and asked him to have a trial with the first team squad. Ibrahimovic famously turned it down stating “Zlatan doesn’t do auditions,” and signing for Ajax a few months later. Arsenal had just signed a young French player called Thierry Henry so it worked out alright in the end but just imagine the pair up front together.
