#10. Madison Square Garden (Basketball): 1968
Although the venue primarily hosts basketball matches of the New York Knicks of the NBA, the Garden is used for other purposes as well including boxing matches, music concerts, ice shows, circuses, and professional wrestling etc. The stadium is also home to the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League. Opened to the public on February 11, 1968, the stadium recently underwent a massive multiyear project renovation in 2013, with expenses skyrocketing to a billion dollars, therefore, making it one of the most expensive stadiums ever built. It holds the distinct honor of being the oldest arena in the National Hockey League and the second-oldest arena in the National Basketball Association.
