Ali Boumnijel is a Tunisian goalkeeper who was 40 years 2 months old when he made an appearance at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. The goalkeeper started his professional career with FC Gueugnon and spent the vast majority of his career in the French leagues. However Boumnijel didn’t actually play any first team matches for Gueugnon for the first three years of his career. His professional debut actually came during a loan spell at AS Nancy before he returned to Gueugnon a year later. Boumnijel also played for SC Bastia and FC Rouen before moving to Tunisian side Club African in 2004 where he played until his 2007 retirement.
