The game that saw an abundance of cards. The TV pundits and commentators were blaming the referee for this debacle that saw four players leave the pitch during the 90 minutes of game time as well as a wealth of yellow cards. However, all the fouls called were rightly deserved in this scrappy game.
#9. Sheikh disallows French Goal – 1982
This is beautiful and belongs in Sasha Baron Cohen’s film ‘The Dictator’. The Sheiky took umbrage at France scoring against his beloved Kuwait and soon put a stop to that nonsense by disallowing a legal French Goal using his supreme authority. Sometimes, events such as these make the game so much more interesting.
