Jordan Brian Henderson, Born 17th June 1990 is an English footballer who plays for Liverpool FC as a Central Midfielder. He began his career with Sunderland where he spent 10 years in the Youth Team from 1998 to 2008 until finally making his First Team debut in a 5-0 away defeat to Chelsea. He had a short loan spell to Coventry City in 2009 scoring one goal and making 10 appearances. In 2011 despite interest from their biggest rivals Manchester United, Liverpool managed to secure the signing of the Englishman worth between £16-20 million. Henderson has been described as a box-to-box midfielder and is regarded a player who works hard and brings energy to the team.
