#5. John Terry
‘Captain Lionheart Braveheart Mister Chelsea’ Terry, or ‘John’ as he is more commonly known, is undoubtedly Premier League royalty. The Chelsea skipper has made over 700 appearances for the club and has scored in every single Premier League season since 2000. The 35 year old will play under his fifteenth different manager when Antonio Conte takes over at Stamford Bridge next season and the Italian will undoubtedly rely on the skipper to battle at the back. Terry has been an excellent defender for well over a decade but lacks the pace, strength, and skill of many other in his position, however Terry’s excellent positional sense and intelligence on the pitch more than makes up for the attributes he lacks.
