#6. Moussa Sissoko
It’s always a surprise when Moussa Sissoko is called up to the France National Team. You’ll usually find the midfielder on the bench or running up and down the wing at Newcastle United, a club which will play in the Championship next season. Sissoko’s goalscoring record is pretty poor, just 12 in 133 matches for The Toon, but something strange happens when he pulls on a France shirt: he’s good. Time and Time again Sissoko battles and works harder than anyone else in the French team, keeping players like Anthony Martial, Kingsley Coman, and Franck Ribery out of the team. The effect he had on the France team in Euro 2016 was clear to see, despite struggling to get into a poor Newcastle side.
