#10. Juan Sebastian Veron
Juan Veron’s ability could not be doubted when he signed for Manchester United in 2002. Veron possessed all the attributes to play in centre midfield for a club like Manchester United but just seems to have joined at the wrong time. He could not adapt to a side which already had midfielders Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, and Roy Keane and his career at Old Trafford suffered as a result. He made over 80 appearances for United in a two year spell before leaving for Chelsea at a cut price. Veron’s career at the club failed to live up to either the expectations on the player or the price tag on the transfer.
