Top 10 Footballers Who Spent Time In Prison

10. Lee Hughes

Source

Crime: Rash driving
Jail time: 6 years
Occurred in: 2004
Lee Hughes was sent to prison after he crashed his Mercedes with another car, and eventually killing the passenger in that car. Not only did he not drive responsibly, but Hughes also fled from the scene. Later it was proven in the court that Hughes had been driving drunk and the following day, he surrendered himself to the local police and was released on bail. He was sentenced to prison for 6 years and was banned from driving for a period up to 10 years. Looks like 2004 wasn’t the best year for Lee Hughes.
