#10. Robert Lewandowski to Blackburn Rovers
Eyjafjallajökull, however you’re meant to say that name, is a volcano that could haunt Blackburn Rovers forever. In 2010 Blackburn were in the Premier League and Lewandowski was at Lech Poznan. All the details were agreed, but Lewandowski couldn’t get the flight over to England as most of the European flights were grounded due to the ash cloud of the erupting volcano. As the volcano cooled, so did the transfer talk and instead of making his way to England, the striker went to Germany instead. Who knows how history would have unfolded for Blackburn, who have since been relegated for the Premier League.
