#10. Ze Roberto
The former Brazil international signed for Los Blancos at the age of 23 after some really promising displays for Brazilian outfit, Portuguesa. The full back spent just one season at Madrid where he struggled for form and consistency. Eventually, after seeing that things may never work out for him at the Spanish capital, Ze Roberto returned home to sign for Flamengo before making a return to European football through a move to Bayer Leverkusen in Germany. It was the turning point in Roberto’s career as he went on to enjoy great domestic success in Germany.
