#10. Marc Vivien Foe 2003
The Cameroonian international collapsed in the 73rd minute in a Confederations cup fixture against Colombia. Medics attempted to revive him but failed. After 45 minutes he was taken by stretcher off the pitch and died shortly after arriving at the medical centre. It was later discovered that he had a hereditary condition of the heart that increases the risk of heart attacks during intense physical exercise. PREVIEW FOR #9: Antonio played in left-midfield for Sevilla and suffered a cardiac arrest during a run of the mill La Liga match up against Getafe. He collapsed 25 minutes into the first half and died three days later. His girlfriend was pregnant with their first child at the time which only added more pain to the shocking incident.
