#10. Marco Materazzi
He’s known across the world as the man who got head butted by Zinedine Zidane, but Marco Materazzi also happens to be one of the worst defenders in Premier League history. The Italian centre back carved out an unremarkable career in the Italian lower leagues before signing for Everton in 1998. Materazzi spent just one season at Goodison Park and was sent off three times in the disastrous spell. The centre back later went on to make over 200 appearances for Inter Milan and played a starring role in the Italy side which won the 2006 World Cup.
