Neymar Confirms He Wants Move to Premier League Giants

Barcelona star Neymar has been connected with clubs such as PSG and Manchester United in recent months as legal troubles combined with reported tension with Lionel Messi have bought into question the Brazilian’s future at the Camp Nou. According to the Express, Neymar has revealed a huge hint in his potential next destination as he said in an interview that he wishes to play in the Premier League one day.

“I like the playing style and the teams,” said Neymar. “And who knows, someday, I would like to play at it, yes. I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool — these are the teams that are always there fighting. And then you have high-level coaches like Mourinho and Guardiola. These are coaches with whom any player would like to work.”

Mourinho’s United and Guardiola’s Manchester City along with Chelsea are the three Premier League clubs who would be willing and able to pay the extorbiant fee Neymar would certainly command. Fees ranging in the £200 million range have been mentioned, over double Paul Pogba’s record fee of £89.3 million.

Neymar also said that he enjoyed the competitiveness of the Premier League, citing Leicester City’s championship last year as an example of how unpredictable it can be as well. “In the Premier League you never know who is going to win or who will be champions, it is always a surprise,” he said. Leicester are very good. They had a great season last year, they were Prem champions and therefore we need to respect them if we draw them in the Champions League.”
