3. Wilfried Bony – $142,000 plus $28,000 per game
When Wilfried Bony signed for Manchester City from Swansea he seemed to be exactly what the Sky Blues needed. Bony showed pace, power and an unerring ability to finish in front of goal as he guided the Swans to some of the best seasons in the clubs history. Bony scored 25 goals in 54 games in Wales before City decided they needed another option in front of goal given all the issues with the health of Sergio Aguero and signed the big Ivorian for a fee that could hit almost $40 million. Unfortunately the transfer has really not worked out for either party. Bony looks nervous with the price tag weighing on him and he has only scored six times for City in 25 league appearances. Rumors abound that Bony will have a new club by the end of January 2016.
